Our Focus
I have been coaching power skating & stick handling along with providing training sessions for youth and adults for 5 years, and I have been playing hockey since I was 4 years old. That is almost 26 years of leaning about the game I fell in love with when I was just a kid. My relationship with the game has evolved throughout those 26 years and it has brought me to this very moment in my life. This moment where I get to live out my dream and grow the game by teach kids about exercise, nutrition, mindset and everything in between about hockey.
My mission is to provide a program that teaches skaters all the different skill sets required to be a well rounded ice hockey player. Our main focus will be on teaching players how to skate, stickhandle and pass efficiently while also teaching hockey sense skills and hockey IQ. This entails learning the basics of skating edge work (proper biomechanics), stick handling, and passing to the advanced skill such as angling, breakouts, systems, forechecks, cycling, board control, puck protection, positioning on the ice, head on a swivel and more. Knowledge about all aspects of the game will result in a skilled player and teammate. This program will better prepare hockey players on the ice by improving their skill sets and knowledge about the game.
Some of our programs will also offer off ice training. Off ice training is equally as important as everything a hockey player does on the ice. We need to well prepare our bodies to be fast, strong, coordinated, agile, and have good balance in order to protect the puck, win battles, beat players with speed, and have a physical advantage all over the ice against their opponents.
My goals is to help each individual player improve their game by challenging them within their skill set and providing them with a diverse tool kit of skills that will help each player bring value to their team. Once a solid skating, stick handling and passing foundation has been built we can then teach players the more advanced skill sets such as hockey sense, hockey IQ, and shooting in order to be successful at playing the game.
